Background:

Responding to critical health challenges such as the DS epidemic, fostering gay culture, and promoting gay rights, Chengdu Tongle Health Counseling Service Center is committed to addressing societal issues faced by the LGBTQ community. Our strategies are centered around collaboration, participation, consideration, and action to empower ourselves and advocate for our community's welfare.

Vision:

Guided by the principle of empowerment, we strive to actively contribute to the healthy development of the gay community, focusing on improving living conditions for individuals within it. We m to work in concert with governmental bodies to execute DS prevention initiatives.

Significant Projects:

• May 2010 - March 2011: Comprehensive DS Intervention Project targeting MSM Men who have sex with men in Chengdu

• October 2010 - October 2011: Community Organization Capacity Building Trning in Sichuan, Hubei, Qingh, Chongqing, and Tibet regions

• December 2010 - April 2011: HIVHPV Epidemiology Research among gay men

• January 2011 - December 2011: Quality Counseling for Detection Project within Chengdu's gay community

• July 2011 - April 2012: Advocacy Capacity Building Project

• 2004 to Present: Registered Business, undergoing registration with the Ministry of Civil Affrs

Achievements:

Since 2007, we have served as advisors for the Center for Disease Control's Gay Men DS Prevention Program, recognized as experts on China Global Fund DS initiatives and medical advocacy.

In October 2011, our Program Director Xiaodong Wang was honored with the Barry Martin Trust's Barry Martin Award. Xiaodong also represented social organizations at Premier Wen Jiabao's DS Prevention Symposium in December 2011.
